Out of respect for the environment of the terroir, all of the vines at Le Clos d'Un Jour are worked by hand at are never treated with chemical products. After the harvest and vinification of 4 weeks, the cuvée "Un Jour sur Terre" is unique in that it is aged in hardened earthen jars for 18 months.

Out of respect for the environment of the terroir, all of the vines at Le Clos d'Un Jour are worked by hand at are never treated with chemical products. Avg. yield is a relatively small 20hl/ha. After the harvest and vinification of 4 weeks, the cuvée "Un Jour sur Terre" is unique in that it is aged in hardened earthen jars for 18 months.
The porosity of the earthen jars permits a slow oxygenation process and continues, as it would inside of a barrel, except that it doesn't add any additional aromas to the wine. This wine thus conserves the little particularities of the grape, the malbec, and of its terroir!
