Grape(s): 100% Chenin Blanc

The terroir consists of volcanic rocks on a slope, exposition south-east. Aged 12 months in barrels and 6 months en cuve.

The distinctiveness of the "Roche aux Moines," in addition to its confidentiality, lies within its powerful expression and the spiciness of the chenin. The aromas are concentrated, moving toward very ripe fruits accented with honey-dew and then passing to noble vegetal notes and a minerality present in its youth. The winemaker searches here to bring to light the strong personality of the terroir through a respectful viticulture of the earth and the vines, and a non-interventionist vinification and ageing. A wine for real connaisseurs!

An intense, profound, and powerful wine, it is particularly harmonious and well-balanced. A real wine to discover and to reflect upon.

Food Accompaniment: à l'aperitif, avec un filet mignon de porc, des gigotins de dindonneau, une crème de potiron aux moules.

Maturity: Now-2032

Bettane & Desseauve: 17,5/20
