Soil / terroir: Situated on a steep hillside overlooking the town of Bergerac are vineyards with a lower base of white lime and a poor calcareous clay / gravel soil. The vines are on average 40 to 70 years old. The vineyards are located near the town of Monbazillac.

Vinification: The grapes are manually harvested in different rounds for the right ripeness and correct botrytis condition. Fermentation and maturation occur over two years in partly new oak barrels and then one year in the bottle, after which the vintage is released.

Taste: Deep golden yellow color and a rich complex bouquet of apricots, almonds, honey combined with the noble rot (botrytis) complexity. A big fat juicy sweet texture with a beautiful intergrated wood influence from aging in oak barrels and lots of ripe fruit, a nice crisp acidity and great length.

Food Combination: As an aperitif, with foie gras or other rich pâtes, not too sweet desserts and fruits, blue and other strong cheeses.
